Welcome! By booking an appointment with Tempting Persephone, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure a fair, professional experience for both the salon and our clients.
1. Booking and Deposits
- Securing Your Appointment: A 50% deposit of the total treatment cost is required to secure all bookings.
- Payment of Balance: Your deposit will be applied toward your final bill on the day of your service. The remaining balance can be paid via cash, card, bank transfer, or PayPal.
- Refund Eligibility: Your deposit is fully refundable or transferable if you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled time.
2. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
- Notice Required: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- Late Cancellations: If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, your 50% deposit will be forfeited to cover the lost appointment slot.
- No-Shows: If you are not home or miss your appointment entirely without notice, you will forfeit your deposit (which covers the 50% no-show fee). Future bookings may require full pre-payment.
3. Home Treatment Requirements
As a mobile service, we require a suitable environment to perform your treatment safely and to a high standard. By booking, you agree to provide:
- Space and Setup: A clean, flat table/surface with two comfortable chairs, situated in a well-lit area with access to a reliable power outlet. If you do not have a suitable table available, please let Tempting Persephone know in advance so we can bring our own appropriate equipment.
- Safety and Distractions: A smoke-free environment. For safety reasons involving professional tools, chemicals, and UV equipment, please ensure pets and young children are safely kept away from the immediate working area for the duration of the treatment.
- Parking: Please advise us in advance if parking is available on a driveway, the street, or via alternative means, ensuring there is safe, accessible parking close to your home to transport equipment.
4. Right to Refuse Service & Health Disclosure
- Nail Health: For your safety and hygiene, services cannot be performed on nails with suspected fungal infections, open wounds, severe inflammation, or contagious skin conditions.
- Prior Disclosure: Please inform us of any allergies, skin sensitivities, or relevant health conditions before your service begins.
- We reserve the right to refuse service or leave an appointment if the home environment is deemed unsafe, unhygienic, or if we encounter inappropriate, disrespectful, or abusive behavior. In these instances, the deposit will not be refunded.
5. Fix Guarantee
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, long-lasting results. In the unlikely event of chipping or lifting, we offer the following repair guarantees:
- Gel Polish: Covered free of charge if you contact us within 7 days post-appointment.
- Extensions: Covered free of charge if you contact us within 5 days post-appointment.
- Outside the Window: Any damage reported or repairs requested outside of these designated guarantee windows will incur a small, per-nail repair charge.
- Note: This guarantee covers technical or product faults. It does not cover accidental damage caused by rough handling, improper aftercare, or personal alteration of the nails.
6. Gel Removals (Foreign Work)
- If you currently have gel polish on your nails that was applied by another person or salon, please ensure you book a Gel Removal add-on with your service.
- We require this extra time to safely and professionally remove product we did not apply without rushing our schedule. Failure to book a removal for foreign work may mean we are unable to complete your full requested new service due to time constraints.
